About Us

Introduction

Sekolah@MMU is a charity program that has already started since the year of 2003, with it core objective, which is to expose secondary school students with the importance of Information Technology & Multimedia knowledge.

Aside from that, this program answers and help in realizing the government calls for making Malaysia a well developed country with IT as a national core. This will help Malaysia to increase it capabilities to compete with other countries in this broad, globalization era.

For a few years now, Malaysia has choose to applied Information Technology in its education system. This is to ensure that the students are well equipped with the knowledge they need to survive in this fast pace world. Through our program, we hope that students will get to know the benefit and the importance of Information Technology, thus making them realize the challenges that awaits them in the real world.

Department

Sekretariat Sekolah@MMU constitutes 5 department in which each department has its own set of objectives. The departments are:

  1. Module & Activity Department
  2. Multimedia Department
  3. Technical & Logistic Department
  4. PR, Protocol, & Media Department
  5. Sponsorship, Economy, & Welfare Department

Mission

Sekretariat Sekolah@MMU mission can be best derived from our own objectives to make the school that we have been choosen as MMU's foster school.Thus, it will act as a centre for the development of Information Technology and Multimedia knowledge and also to create two way relationships between schools and Multimedia University Cyberjaya.The 'Sekolah@MMU' program will also act as a base, which is to share experience and knowledge among the participants where as at the same time, building the confidence and the leadership skills among them.

In simple words, the core objectives of this program are :

  1. To make these foster schools as a centre of Information Technology development around Malaysia and which MMU will act as it base.
  2. To build a two way relationship between MMU and its foster schools around Malaysia.
  3. To develop leadership skills among the participants.Promoting MMU as a university with the status of Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC).
  4. Giving caunseling services and advices to secondary school students about tertiary education and working opportunities.
